Why photos matter more on GLP-1
In the largest trials the average loss was 14.9% of starting weight over 68 weeks on semaglutide and up to 20.9% over 72 weeks on tirzepatide. Change at that pace shows in the mirror before you believe it.
The mirror also adapts. You see yourself every day, so each day looks like the one before, and a photo from week 0 is the only thing that does not adjust.
The scale tells part of it and the photo tells the rest, which is why Undiet keeps both on the same timeline, and keeps the photo on the phone.
The pose
Front on, feet on the same line each time, arms a little away from the body, the same clothing or as close as you own. Your face does not need to be in it.
In Undiet the pose guide shows an outline on the camera and fires the shutter when you are inside it. That is what makes two dates line up later; the room and the mood do not matter.
The light
Same spot, same time of day, light coming from in front of you or the side, never a window behind you. A lamp you can switch on works better than daylight that changes with the weather.
Put the phone on a shelf or lean it on a book at the same height each time rather than holding it. The background is removed on the device anyway, so a messy room costs nothing.
The cadence
Once a week is enough, and dose day is a natural anchor: same day, same ritual, one more entry. Daily photos show nothing and make you doubt the ones that do.
After the last dose, keep the weekly rhythm for a while, then go monthly if the change is slower. The photo you will want most is the one from week 0, so take it today even if today feels early.
Why they never leave the phone
Half dressed photos deserve bank grade handling. In Undiet the vault is a folder inside the app, not your camera roll, and the cut out is computed on the phone.
Nothing is uploaded, nothing is backed up by us, the vault sits behind Face ID or your passcode, and there is no share button and no option to add one. Delete the app and the photos go with it.
The free app keeps the last 30 days of photos; Plus keeps the whole history. Either way the location is the same, your phone.
Ghost compare
Pick any two dates. The earlier photo fades over the later one, anchored on the same landmarks, with a slider that blends between them.
Week 0 over week 12 shows the first stretch; week 60 over week 100 shows the months after, which matter as much. Theafter the last doseguide explains why from the data.
What not to do
Do not post them. The Undiet community cannot show photos at all, by design, and the same should go for anywhere else until you have decided with a clear head.
Do not compare your photo with a trial average or with someone else on a different dose. The averages in thetimeline guideare a backdrop, not a target.
Do not chase the scale with the camera either. A photo after a heavy dinner and one after a light week differ in water, not in anything that lasts, which is one more reason to keep the weekly rhythm and let the ghost compare do the judging.
Where to start
TheGLP-1 pageshows the vault and the ghost compare you can try in the browser. Mark your medication from the catalog,GLP-1 therapyor the exact one such asWegovy,MounjaroorZepbound, and take the first photo the same day.
Undiet does not give medical advice and does not suggest a medication, a dose or a schedule. Talk to your doctor about your therapy; the photos are for you.
